She makes an excellent point that I’ve never even thought of. Why would an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent god create life that must eat itself?? Doesn’t make any fucking sense. Her point about parasites is a great one too. Poor little ant with a plant growing out of his head!
These are some great interviews from The Thinking Atheist with people giving the positives and negatives of being an atheist. What I love about it is the interviewees come from different walks of life. And what’s that? A black atheist?? No way!
I’ve never felt the persecution or prejudice that some of these people report. But exposure for us is very important (harder to hate an atheist if you know one) so here it is!

Seriously, Christians, if you believe God’s omnipotent, then you must believe he could just forgive. Yet so many times, so many of you have told me, with a straight face, that he can’t. And when I ask you to explain why, your reply is usually some kind of bullshit circular logic.
If God can’t forgive, he’s not omnipotent, and therefore not a god. If God can forgive, but chooses not to, then he’s petty–no better than any of the rest of us–and therefore not a god.
